Tin Sparrow Events LLC is a Professional Event Planning & Coordinating Company who provides concierge level services. We specialize in all ranges of event services with a goal to not only meet the expectations of our clients but to go beyond bringing their dream event to life. We facilitate, plan & execute the most important keystone moments in the lives of our clients and we are looking for the perfect someone to join us in bringing dreams to reality!

While this is an Unpaid Intern Position we would like you to note that this does have the potential to work into a Commission based Internship, and/or Part Time to Full Time paid position. Please know that every person on the TS Team is not only a valuable asset but each is treated with the utmost respect and as an equal part of the TS family. We think of a TS Intern as someone who is interested in getting involved in the event/wedding planning process, someone who is interested in interacting with our clients, writing contracts, confident enough to develop and offer service quotes after owner review, willing to work well with and coordinate with our amazing vendors, assist in creating an events image and someone creative enough to get their hands dirty as we make it come to life. But wait there is more… we need someone who is interested in making an event happen by assisting us in coordinating an actual event (or 30) and so much more!!

Tin Sparrow Events candidates have to be professional (you would be representing our business so this is a must), outgoing, organized and above all hard working. We have a goal to only bring on the best and the brightest because to us TS is more than just a business with a 9-5 mentality it is a living entity that touches many lives in the most intimate of ways! With that being said we are looking for recent undergraduates or recent graduates who have goals set to achieve greatness in the world, we are not looking for midlife career changers sorry this is more than just a hobby for us and we need others who feel the same way to.

This is a "by appointment only" interview process and we request that you refrain from coming to our home based studio location to check on your application! TS Internship Job Description

  • Able to work under and based on the direction of GariAnn Hedquist, owner of Tin Sparrow Events

  • Work in conjunction with other members of the Tin Sparrow Events team, to preform tasks in a group setting and to be able to act as a team player with the understanding that as a whole we succeed and no one person will receive or strive to take the credit from the team as a whole!

  • Preform in high stress situations while maintaining exceptional customer service for both the client as well as guests before, during and after event execution.

  • Able to accompany Tin Sparrow Events to Consultations, Vendor Meetings, Client Meetings, Event Shopping, Venue Locations and any other Event related locations.

  • Answer Phones, Emails, and Text Messages with impeccable Customer Service

  • Setup Appointments and Manage Daily/Weekly Schedule

  • Able to Assist in Service Quote Generating and Confidently meet with the client as a TS Representative to provide generated Service Quote, explain the services in detail, answer any questions and able to assist in closing all quotes with a signed Service Agreement

  • Assist in Inventory Management, Pulling and Reorganizing After Events

  • Provide Assistance with Filing, Updating, Organizing & Maintaining Client Files

  • Assistance in generating Reports, Memos, Presentation, Business Related Research & Development

  • Networking with potential clients, maintaining/nurturing current client relations, generating/maintaining positive relationships with vendors and local businesses, preparing/setting up and participating in business related trade/bridal shows.

  • Assist in Social Media Maintenance, Posting and Subject Matter Generating

  • Willing to Smile, Laugh, Enjoy and Treasure every moment of your time as a Tin Sparrow Events Team Member!!

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent & currently enrolled in College

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel and all other basic computer software

  • Experienced with Social Media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumbler, etc.

  • Must have a current & valid WA State Driver's License

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills

  • Friendly, Outgoing and Go Get it Attitude

  • Must be able to work independently, in a team setting or as directed on a need basis

  • Able to present oneself in a Professional and Friendly Manner with exceptional Customer Service Skills

  • Must be Punctual as tardiness is not an option in this industry {we are a 15-20 minutes earlier than scheduled company}

  • Must be able to work under a Deadline, able to take preform tasks within a timely manner and above all able to ask for help!!

  • Must be able to lift 40+ lbs and must be able to work long hours on your feet {this is a very hands on position and all TS team member assist in all projects}

Hours & Expectations

  • As explained above TS Interns will be required to report on time

  • TS Interns are held to the same standard as all positions within Tin Sparrow Events regarding punctuality, professionalism and conduct!!

  • Tin Sparrow Events requires any and all members of it's team to enter into a Non-Disclosure Agreement & Non-Compete Agreement that will be maintained and held in effect for up to two year after termination of position.

  • Interns will be expected to work a minimum of 5 hours a week and up to 40 hours within a month

  • Interns will be expected to work weekends but we maintain flexibility when generating our Event Execution Team Member Schedules
